Dear Parents and Carers
I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Headteacher of Overton Grange School from September 2024. I have been a Teacher, Senior Leader and Associate Headteacher in schools for 25 years. Being a father of two children I am very much aware of the responsibility that my staff and I have in ensuring that the highest standard of teaching and learning is achieved.
The vision of Overton Grange School, to provide a safe, challenging, and happy community which prepares learners of today for the demands and opportunities of tomorrow, resonates deeply with my own beliefs. The underpinning values of Community, Inspiration and Success, align with my own educational philosophy, and I am committed to upholding these ideals.
Throughout my career, including my tenure as Associate Headteacher, I have passionately upheld the belief that all students, regardless of their starting points, can attain the highest success. My goal as Headteacher is to work tirelessly to realise this vision for our school community.
The staff's dedication, the students' positive attitude, and our parents' commitment are the cornerstones of Overton Grange School. As Headteacher, I am excited to build upon these strengths and foster a culture of continuous self-improvement, to enrich our learning environment. As such, we will continue to maintain high expectations, focusing on uniform, attendance/punctuality and engagement in lessons.
I am excited about the future of Overton Grange School and the opportunities that lie ahead for all our students. I look forward to meeting many of you personally, which will allow us to share thoughts, ideas, and aspirations for our school community. The path forward will be created by our collective commitment to nurturing confident, successful learners, and encouraging all our young people make the most of opportunities that are provided throughout their educational journey.
